We're from Ohio and were told to come here solely for the experience. It was awesome - obviously this isn't a 5 star restaurant, but there is definitely something here for everyone. Fun atmosphere, and we got a shirt from the gift shop.

Ok... first time here, met friends for Sunday dinner...GREAT SERVICE .. but food left a bit to desire, 4 of 5 steaks ordered were overcooked and had little flavor for being/claiming to be a seafood/steak house. Salad bar is awesome, well stocked and maintained. GREAT SERVICE....

Food was awesome. Our waiter James, was funny and engaging. He timed the appetizer, salad and entree perfectly...and even poured refills on our beer without asking. Thank you for great food and service!!!

Food was excellent! Tables were spaced out, and all employees wearing masks. My first dining experience since COVID was a success!

The only good thing was the service. The salad bar was terrible, the fried things that they bring before dinner was offal. I ordered oysters and broiled fish, they come at the same time. What kind of serving or timing is. But the waiters as they get it from the kitchen, they bring it to the table .Then when the broiled fish came, it was dry, tasteless and very spicy. Not a place for people that knows how real fish taste.

Fantastic seafood. We got some raw Gulf oysters to start then some lobster bisque. All really great stuff. Check out the salad bar too!

Enjoyed a delicious dinner at Big Daddy's! I had the fried shrimp and my sweetheart had the 2lb Snow Crabs. Everything was delicious. Loved the hushpuppies too

Cozy place. We sat by the fireplace and that was nice. The waitress had a great personality and knew the food, even where the oysters were from. Prime rib was prime, the oysters were juicy. Only the scallops were disappointing. Definitely worth a try.

Always great food,great service. And surprisingly enough the Drinks are outstanding, food lover's Paradise a little something for everyone. Kids included, keep ot up we'll be back..

Yea yes yes!! Just moved up to the area from downtown. Checked this place out. We’re young and didn’t know where to go. Great bar! Great restaurant! Great food! Our server James super helpful, funny and experienced. Massive restaurant and huge oyster bar. A must see and eat!!

Best seafood around! We get the fried lobster tails which is an odd menu item considering the fish camp mentality around. The food is always delicious, staff is always courteous and helpful and when my wife and I want seafood no other place for 200 miles is better than Big Daddy's. Best, period

Old fashioned fish camp dressed up somewhat and the food is out of sight good. You're missing out if you haven't been to Big Daddy's. Seafood galore!

New to the area & a neighbor recommended this place to my husband for my bday dinner. We both love seafood so we were excited. There was a total of 5 in the party & all agree that this was the WORST MEAL EVER! Food was bland & greasy. Service was mediocre at best. I have no clue how they have 4 & 5 star ratings. Not sure if they just have the “B team” working since reopening since COVID. Won’t be going back!

Appreciated the senior/children's menu. I was able to get a portion size that fits my appetite. I really enjoyed the Cole slaw. It was perfectly cut and flavored well. Our server was very attentive and patient with some picky eaters.

Food was awesome, waitress, not so. She snipped my husband twice before he even ordered his food. I just wanted a straw for my tea and I really can't remember what he said. My husband looked at me and said, well she just cut her tip. This was our first time dining here and would return but prefer a friendly waitress for sure.

My cousin and I were exhausted from high demanding jobs. We were able to connect after months apart due to COV19 restrictions. "Big Daddys" was a much needed relaxed environment. The wait was short, friendly customer service and the delicious food was delicious. The Oyster Rockefeller was spot on. The Woodlands Ribeye came med rare and melt in your mouth delicious. 😁My fish with coleslaw and hush puppies was perfect 🌊⚓I live downtown Charlotte and certainly will make this a new top favorite🇺🇸⛵❣

It rained like crazy travelling there, but the food was good and the family enjoyed it. Social distancing was in place. Our server was kind.

We have enjoyed this long standing restaurant everytime we've gone. If you like to eat seafood, this is the place to go in Mooresville! I had the blackened catfish & grouper, it was excellent. You won't be disappointed in the salad bar and don't eat too many of the best hush puppies anywhere!

We had an awesome server. Remoullaide sauce and tartar sauce were perfectly tangy with savoury hushpuppies. Clam strips were salty tasting and chewy and delicious. Sweet potato with butter and cinnamon was more like a dessert than a side. Couldnt have asked for more.

excellent food and atmosphere. misleading out front very warm inside. you will leave extremely full with a good taste left in your mouth and tum tum.

I went with my Niece and Nephew and Sister to eat there for my first time.The food was so good and serve great.Shortly after visiting my Sister Barbara passed away. It is a great memory I have with them all there.

Lived here in mooresville for 3yrs now and always pass this place off of river highway finally decided to take a chance! Glad we stopped in great seafood and service very attentive to our needs and all around good atmosphere always packed and now I know why we will be returning in the near future

This place makes me feel like I am on vacation at the shore. Awesome fried clams, great steak and seafood. I dont even know how to describe it. It's a throwback to the places my parents took me on family vacations. Go early as it gets busy late, especially closer to the weekend. Service is a little hit or miss but never bad. Plus they carry Saranac root beer which is a favorite.

The hush puppies are the best!! The seafood was prepared perfectly..the steamed oysters melted in your mouth...I can't say enough good things about this place, and we've been going there for 20+ years.

This place is awesome. We had a great time. Tuesday night special crab legs. Perfect. Super good service and friendly staff. Very clean. Food was delicious. I highly recommend this place for sure. We will be back

My rib eye was pink in the center crisp on the outside 👎🏻The server was very attentive.My friends who had shrimp were very pleased.

I don’t know where these 5 star reviews are coming from but this place desperately needs some work. I ordered the broiled shrimp..first off it must have been smothered in salt, then sautéed in more smothered salt and butter. When I told the waitress, she offered me some day old key lime pie to make up for it. I refused, so she came back again and offered to take my $3 iced tea off of my bill. My husbands fired clams tasted soft and mushy, and his halibut tasting like metal..Needless to say, this place is banned for life.

Always great oysters at the oyster bar but they no longer have the good Monday special.

I have been going here for years. They have the best food and service of any restaurants in town or even the greater Charlotte area. It is worth the trip to Mooresville from Charlotte just to go here. It is very unique and the staff are always friendly. The oysters are awesome. I will be going here for life.

The food here is fabulous. My family has many food restrictions (dairy free, gluten free, and vegan /vegetarian) yet all of us could find something to eat. I would defiantly recommend to anyone !!!!
